The client is a distributor of Xerox Photocopiers and Motorola Communications Solutions and the brief was to manage the communications surrounding the Transfer of Shares. As the company’s sole shareholder prepared for retirement he wanted to hand over the running of the company to the staff and needed to transfer 40% of his shares. We encouraged 100% involvement from the staff, by organising a competition for a new slogan for the company, developed a new corporate image with a new slogan supplied by the staff and hosted a one-week exhibition where customers were invited to view new equipment. The Result was that sales have increased and the company has now purchased a larger accommodation.
The client, is a Residents Association who needed to create awareness of the association and its function. A PR audit showed that the community was not aware of the association and its work. To address this a website was designed explaining the association’s objectives, advising on upcoming events and supplying information on key personnel and services in the area. This was complimented with a flyer designed to showcase past activities carried out by to association, to which all residents had benefited. This was delivered door to door to all householders in the area. Support was sought and acquired from the local social services – the police, library, the council etc. The media was made aware of the activities. The Result was that membership increased by 30% in the first year and is steadily increasing. Members are kept up to date via the website and by direct contact through emails. The members of the leading political parties have been making requests to attend the association’s general meetings as issues affecting the community are generally aired.
The Client is a Manufacturer of Insecticide and the brief was to avert a crisis as the company sold its factory operations to a competitor as a cost cutting measure.
Another manufacturer would now produce the insecticide under
license, however, the sales department would still remain operational. The objective was to make this announcement in a timely manner to prevent
sabotage of the plant by staff who were about to be laid off, and to ensure that there was no loss of sales due to misinterpretation of news. Controlled information was released to the
press and employees simultaneously. We were appointed official spokesperson for the company so as to control the information released. The Result was that the transition went smoothly and information divulged to the press was accurate, consistent and controlled. Most of the staff was re-employed, all received severance packages and counselling was available for those who needed it. Profits increased as production costs went down and the product was sold to
customers at a cheaper rate.
The Client is a manufacturer of margarines, cooking oils, animal feeds and distributor of animal pharmaceuticals and the brief was to develop a one-year publicity campaign to celebrate its 50th anniversary. To maximise publicity, we developed an activity for each month, including such activities as a call-in programme where the public could speak to the in residence veterinarian on issues affecting both husbandry and pets; a 50th Anniversary Cookbook to which customers were invited to submit recipes using any of the 11 products manufactured; and the design of a special anniversary
logo to commemorate the year. The Result was maximum publicity, increase in sales and goodwill.
